Halloween... ok I havent been on in a while so it is late

I have never dressed up for Halloween before as Australians dont really celebrate it all that much, (Just think of all the free Candy I missed out on as a kid poor me..)

So this is my attempt at 'Shera-The Princess of Power' Remember Heman and Shera cartoons from the 80's? Well I have always wanted an excuse to dress up like her and I thought this years Halloween was the perfect time, as it was also the first Halloween Party I have ever been to as well.

So what do you think?

It's that time of Year again! CHRISTMAS

So yes it is Christmas.. This is my first ever attempt at making a Ginger Bread house.

I think I did a pretty good job considering

I cant wait to have kids so I can do all this cool Christmas stuff with them, it just doesn't seem the same as an Adult doing it with friends LOL

Old Skool Pics

These pictures are just to prove I had style even as a Youngster...

No one Rocks the Fro like Gilly-Roll

I know I was just so cute... with my Older Sister Bobbie

After all these years I still have that Gummo Smile.. Unfortunately it is not as cute as an adult..

Melbourne Cup day

Every year Australia goes crazy because of a Horse Race...
"Your Mother has been taken over by a Monster, A Monster I like to call... GAMBLOORRR!"
Ok so Melbourne cup day is early November I believe, everyone wastes so much money, gets dressed up women normally wear fun hats of feathers in their hair which I did that day and eat lots of food, just to watch or bet on a horse race..... I am not a betting person myself but since I would be stuck int he office by myself if I didnt go, I always decide to dress up a little and of course eat the food... So these pictures are of me at work with some of my awesome co-workers, they make my boring job just that little less boring, Thanks guys..

This is Little Amy, She is so cute and I feel like she is my very own Vietnamese Toy to play with.
Below from top left is April this is her last week at work I will miss her, she was a fabulous woman to work with, next to her is Michelle also another of the wonderful ladies in my area.
Below is my little Amy and myself :)

What do you do on Sick Days?

So I haven't done any blogs in a long time, I haven't been very inspired to really do so, or just either too busy or too lazy..

I was on a sick day today and I quickly ran out of good tv programs to watch while laying in bed, Dr Phil and then Oprah but unfortunately Oprah was a rerun of Miley Cyrus, not really anything that gets me excited, so I started off by cleaning my room and once that was done I remembered seeing this beehive hair do on http://www.youtube.com/a while back so I can remember exactly the correct address but I thought it was easy enough that I could give it a try, so I did. It was actually a lot easier the teasing your hair like crazy, Simply part the front sections of your hair towards your face, then at the top going towards the back of your head make a small triangle section of hair and make it into a small pony/bun on top of your head, I perchased a fake hair extension/piece (I got a clip on hair piece because I got it really cheap)

Such as this one below, I simply took off the clip.

All you do with that is put it into a nylon hair net that some what blends in with the hair piece, please note to try and get the hair piece that is close to your own hair colour, then simply place this on top of your bun and pin it in so it is now sitting firm on top of your head. Then grab sections of the hair you parted at the front and pull it over the hair piece/bun pining it in the back and keep doing this until the bun is covered with your own hair, it is quick and simple and a fun hair style.

I also got pretty hungry as I did not eat anything all day and I started to crave Pikelets!

So I made pikelets (Little thick pancakes) with the typical toppings of Jam and Cream, they hit the spot well. Here is a simple recipe I just looked up for your convenience http://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipe/Easy-Pikelets-L1305.html

Getting back with Nature

So I haven't done any blogs in a while because I thought I haven't had anything fun or exciting to blog about, But I did forget that I have gotten back to Nature recently which was quite enjoyable being able to take in all the beauty of what the Lord has given us. I visited Lamington National Park/O'Reillys last weekend which was really lovely, it is a great place to meditate and relax and be one with nature. OR take a very long hike up and down the mountain through the Forrest. On top of the mountain you can experience all these beautiful coloured birds come and land on your arms, shoulders and head, if you have a bit of bird seed in your hands they will flock to you, or if you are like me and my friend you just pretend you have something in your hands and they will be fooled for a few moments. There are also about a million Bush Turkeys up there, they are the fattest ones I have ever seen, looks like the tourists feed them pretty well, I was thinking if I ever want a good Christmas Dinner I should take a Trip up there :-)

They also have a Tree top walk, we didn't get to go on it this time round but I remember going on it when I was younger. My friend and I went on a hike that went for roughly 3-4 hours, it was a long way but it was great exercise. And I am sure there are shorter ones for those who don't think they could go for that long. Also It would have been better in summer as we could have gone for a swim at the bottom of the hike, as there was a giant pool of rushing clear water, it looked beautiful. There are also many hikes there that have waterfalls.
As you are driving up the mountain it weaves and turns and towards the top it is so Amazing, there are trees the cover both sides of the roads, it feels like you are in a Fairy Land! I was just waiting for a little fairy or pixie to come flying out of the trees.
On our drive we were hoping to find other animals such as Kangaroos.. To begin with all we saw was a dead one on the side of the road,

We did manage to see a group of 3, Big medium and little tiny one but as we were trying to get a photo, an inconsiderate car behind us wouldn't stop but drove up to them stopped.. and then scared them off while we were trying to take a picture, such a shame as it would have been a great shot too.

But one other great thing that you will find on your travels up the winding mountain is a LAMA FARM! They are so cute, I wanted to take a baby one home with me. And I got a little excited about seeing them :-)

Anyway it is a great day out and a fun experience if you ever have a free day to get back in touch with nature.

Inspiring Artists

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHXEE7Pi6iQ

Probably the only person on Earth that actually makes me feel good about myself.

India Arie, This song really has done a lot for me, I use to play it over and over again and still do. She is such a free spirit, I wish I could be more like that.

Video Lyrics :-
Sometimes I shave my legs and sometimes I dont
Sometimes I comb my hair and sometimes I wont
Depend on how the wind blows I might even paint my toes
It really just depends on whatever feels good in my soul
I'm not the average girl from your video
And I ain't built like a supermodel
But, I learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen
I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be India aria
When I look in the mirror the only one there is me
Every freckle on my face is where its supposed to be
And I know our creator didn't make no mistakes on me
My feet, my thighs, my lips, my eyes;
I'm lovin what I see Im not the average girl from your video
And I ain't built like a supermodel But,
I learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queenIm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what Im wearing I will always be india aria
Am I less of a lady if I dont wear pantyhose?
My mama said a lady aint what she wears but, what she knows
But, Ive drawn a conclusion, its all an illusion, confusions the name of the Game
A misconception, a vast deception Somethings gotta change
Dont be offended this is all my opinion
Aint nothing that Im sayin law
This is a true confession of a life learned lesson I was sent here to share wit Yall
So get in where you fit in go on and shine Free your mind, nows the time
Put your salt on the shelfGo on and love yourself cuz everythings gonna be all right
Im not the average girl from your video
And I aint built like a supermodel
But, I learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queenIm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what Im wearing I will always be india aria
Keep your fancy drinks and your expensive minks
I dont need that to have a good time
Keep your expensive car and your caviar
All I need is my guitar
Keep your crisp style and your pistol
Id rather have a pretty piece of crystal
Dont need your silicon I prefer my own
What God gave me is just fine
Im not the average girl from your video
And I aint built like a supermodelBut,
I learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queenIm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what Im wearing I will always be india aria

The other Artist I really appreciate would be Ben Harper

All of his songs are just so amazing and pure

It's hard being a woman

Ever feel like People Just don't get you?! Especially the Male kind. They don't understand how you feel and why you feel it.
Sometimes I really can't stand being Female or at least having a female brain, I heard on the news the other day that there is such a thing as a Male brain and a female brain, but you don't necessarily have to be male of female to have either of them.
But I totally agree and realise that I DEFINITELY have a female brain. The Female Brain has this huge space just devoted to emotions, the Male brain thinks more in Logic's, For example they would be better at looking at maps and puzzles, but the female brain thinks more emotionally.
I just sometimes feel so overloaded by my emotions, they control me way too much. You cry about silly things and then you are happy again but then can just get down in the dumps so fast, and you wish men could understand you but they just don't seem to be able to, even hints don't do anything, because well I guess it just isn't their fault, it is the way their Brain works, they don't have as big of an emotional area, But it just makes you feel like an idiot because you think "Why Don't you Just Get it?" Emotions... you can't seem to stop it or help it.
Am I alone in this? I doubt it. I just feel like a Mess at times, I am wondering if my chemicals are in balance... But anyway my conclusions are, that even though we Don't get each other or understand each other Perhaps we need to start doing and acting in a way that would help Males and Females really get a long better, Women Need More Affection, attention, love and Emotion, Men need things Straight forward and logical.
So if you have a male brain start giving a little more to the female brain, and Female Brains start sending out a little more logic to the Male brain and things will be so much Better!

I have looked up a few things about this, First on Wiki:-

So I hope this can help us all out. (Male Brains, Give the female brains some Flowers, chocolates and a nice note every now and then. Female brains, Give the Male brain things to Study Annalise, work out maybe a plasma TV.. )
